This is another camera test of our Nikon D5000 in movie mode, using a 105mm prime lens. These are clips from the Texas UNT Jazz Singers Alumni rehearsal, and all shots were handheld. Sound was recorded by the D5000 as well.

The camera is clearly capable of making some very pretty images, even in an off-the-cuff test like this. And the sound was acceptable, which surprised us.

I’d strongly recommend a tripod and fluid head for this camera, though.
